In our 16th race, 238 of the most daring triathletes representing 35 countries, once again swam the 3.8km, cycled the 180km, ran the 42.2km and ascended more than 5000m in some of Norway’s most exquisite landscapes.

Interest in the 2017 Isklar Norseman Xtreme Triathlon has once again been record breaking! We have received 3650 applications for next year’s race, a far cry from our humble beginnings. Together with you guys we have not only raised the bar for Norseman, but also raised over $30 000 for Doctors Without Borders. For this, we are immensely thankful!

Gaustablikk, Norway, August 7, 2010 – German Susanne Buckenlei defended last year’s victory in Norseman Xtreme Triathlon and won the women’s class with 13:13:03. She beat the course record from 2004. Runner up was Gonny Rosendaal from the Netherlands. Henrik Oftedal from Norway won the mens field with 10:59:57.

It was a close battle between Susanne Buckenlei and Gonny Rosendaal during the entire day. Buckenlei managed to pull away during the final steep climbs. At the finish line at Mountain Gaustatoppen, she was 16 minutes ahead.
