Balllot entries for Zalaris Norseman 2024 will open at Sunday October 1 at 00:01 CEST and remain open until Saturday October 7 at 23:59 CEST. This is not first come first served, as long you register before we close, you are in the draw.
Race Manual
You have to carefully read and understand our Race Manual before registering. We are following the competition rules of The Norwegian Triathlon Federation (NTF). The NTF competition rules adhere to the International Triathlon Union (ITU) competition rules. If your knowledge of Norwegian is limited, focus on the ITU competition rules.
Administration Fee
To register for the draw we will have an “administration fee” of EUR 10.
The draw
If you have applied for a slot at Norseman in the years starting in 2016, you will get additional chances in the draw based on the number of consecutive years you have applied. As Norseman did no regular ballot during the pandemic years 2021 and 2022, no tickets will be lost during this period of time.
We will publish a video of the draw with all lucky names on Friday October 13 at 20:00 CEST.
On Tuesday October 10 we will call some lucky athletes during the filming. Please stay close to your phone on that day between 17:00 and 21:00 CEST if you are happy to accept a call from us and appear in the video.

All that have entered the ballot will be notified if they have a slot or not at Sunday October 15.

If you get lucky
If you have luck in our 2024 draw, a mail will follow on October 15, containing a personal access code for our registration site. You will have until October 24 to complete registration and payment. If you have not completed your registration within this time limit, the slot will move on to our waiting list. The participation fee is EUR 500. Payment = Confirmed slot. You will need a valid credit card, either Visa or Mastercard to pay (there is no exceptions to this).
Norseman Slots
We will award a total of 330 slots. By experience, this will leave us with about 250 athletes on race day.
PRO/Elite invitational

Cap per country
Max participants drawn from one country is 10% of the Norseman Draw number.
Exeption: Norway, where max is 30% of the Norseman Draw number.
Applicants from Russia and Belarus
Due to the current global situation, Norseman cannot accept athletes from Russia or Belarus* with exceptions below. We ask that you do not enter the draw if you are a citizen of either of these countries. If you do so, you will be removed from the ballot and will lose your entry fee. We appreciate your respect of this policy.
*Russian and Belarussian citizens with a permanent residency status in Norway are permitted to enter, your residency status will be personally verified should you be successful.
