Ballot and X-Points entries for Zalaris Norseman 2025 will open on Wednesday, October 2, at 18:00 CEST and remain open until Wednesday, October 9, at 23:59 CEST. The ballot is not first come, first served. As long you register before we close, you are in the draw. X-Points instructions are below.
Race Manual
You must carefully read and understand our Race Manual before registering. We follow the competition rules of The Norwegian Triathlon Federation (NTF). The NTF competition rules adhere to the International Triathlon Union (ITU) competition rules. If your knowledge of Norwegian is limited, focus on the ITU competition rules.
Administration Fee
To register for the X-Points or the draw, we will have an “administration fee” of EUR 10.
Successful X-Points applicants will be able to reclaim the EUR 10 when registering.
X-Points
If you have X-Points from XTRI World Tour you can apply for a slot using these points. The 100 athletes with the highest balance when applying will be offered a slot (which they must pay for). They will then have their points balance reduced, but the number for points equal to that of athlete 100. If you are not successful using your points you will automatically be placed into the ballot. You can check your race ID account to see how many points will be transmitted to us when entering.
If you participate in Canadaman/ Canadaman Solo Point Five on October 6, 2024, and/or Greek Hero on October 12, 2024, the X-Points you earn at these events (which will be pre-allocated before the event date) can be used toward the registration for the Zalaris Norseman Xtreme Triathlon / XTRI World Championship 2025. Should you fail to attend or are unable to finish these events (DNF), your balance will be adjusted after the race. If it is found that you won a slot for Norseman but now no longer have enough points, your slot will be lost.
The draw
If you have applied for a slot at Norseman in the years starting in 2016, you will get additional chances in the draw based on the number of consecutive years you have applied. As Norseman did not have regular ballots during the pandemic years 2021 and 2022, no tickets will be lost during this period.
We will publish a video of the draw with all lucky names on Monday, October 14, at 20:00 CEST.
On Thursday, October 10, from 18:00 to 21:00 CEST, we will call some lucky athletes during the filming. Please stay close to your phone on that day if you are happy to accept a call from us and appear in the video.

All X-Points applicants will be contacted by October 12 with the results.
All people who entered the ballot will be notified if they have a slot or not on Tuesday, October 15.
