The men
Rune Høydahl crossed the finish line at Gaustatoppen Saturday evening with a time of 11:30:08. He dominated the competition and won the second annual HP Norseman Xtreme Triathlon, competing against 92 other athletes from 12 different countries. After a superlative achievement, Rune Høydahl managed to keep his promise: to win the HP Norseman and therefore be crowned with the title of Norway’s rawest athlete.
Håvard Jensen came in 2nd place, in 12:12:20, over 40 minutes after Rune.
Last years winner Christian Houge Thiis came in 3rd place, in 12:20:28.
The (first) women (ever)
Trude Andersen won the ladies’ division with a demanding 13:15:20 and placed 8th overall. She also took home the Watersports prize, an O`neill wetsuit, for the best marathon time.
Solveig Gysland took the womens 2nd place in 14:45:53 (22nd place overall).
Ingvill Merete Stedøy came in 3rd place in 16:41:38, (55th overall).
