XTRI World Championship
Entering the World Championship
The 2025 World Championship is already full. The athletes qualified in 2024 XTRI World Tour races and our merit selection.
To qualify for the 2026 World Championship, you need to be a top finisher in one of the qualifying XTRI World Tour races. Winners and runners-up are invited. This follows the calendar year (2025), and the invitation is for the year following their win (2026).

Other PRO/Elite athletes may apply based on merits from 2023, 2024 or 2025. We may have a slot available for you if you consider yourself a suitable candidate for the win. Sebastian Kienle (second place in 2023), Laura Zimmermann (female XTRI World Champion 2024), Kristian Grue (current male XTRI World Champion) and Julia Skala (current female XTRI World Champion) got a PRO slot in the last three years.
Minimum merit requirements to apply for women:
Please submit a link to your PTO ranking and the best result from 2022, 2023, or 2024, and email it to us.

Applications are submitted during enrolment by entering the requested PRO/Elite information. Applications are then evaluated by our jury, which will rank them and award World Championship slots for the top-ranked athletes.
Pro/Elite athletes who do not make it into the World Championship will be moved to the general Norseman draw.
