777 Athletes from 29 different countries want to join the 2011 edition of Norseman Xtreme Triathlon.
We wish we could accommodate you all, but we can't. The first part of the selection process has already started.
Elite
Picking the athletes for the 40 elite slots has already started. A five person jury has one week to finish the selection.
The jury is put together of the following people:
Kaja Høvding Davidsen - Director of Oslofjord Tri Club - Chairman
Arne Sunde - Up and coming TRI Guru
Fred Arthur Asdal - Race Director for Hove Triathlon
Fredrik Mandt - Board Member, Hardangervidda Tri Club/Norseman
Marit Svenning Berg - Vice President of the Norwegian Triathlon Federation
Lottery
For the bulk of the slots we will run a lottery. There will be quotas based on gender and whether you reside inside or outside Norway. We aim to inform everyone by November 7th. There will be no waiting list except for a limited number of runners-up that may be asked if they want to remain with a "maybe" status pending clearing of payment for the winners of the lottery.
